At Sister District, we work for Democratic candidates in swing districts in other states. Come hear a local candidate - Tracie Stafford, Democratic primary candidate for Assembly District 9 (Elk Grove, Galt, Lodi, South Sacramento) - speak on the issues facing new political candidates for state offices.

And to help you ease into the New Year's political activities - we'll be writing postcards to Georgia (so easy!). Sister District is conducting a "Two Primaries Voter Education Study" (a little complicated!). Florida, Georgia and Minnesota hold presidential and state primaries on different days. This study will mainly test if voter education/GOTV postcards around the primary elections increase voter turnout in both primary elections. We'll have supplies or you can bring your own. One request - contributions at the meeting would be greatly appreciated for postcards and postcard stamps.
